Merry Christmas!
We trust that "all is well" at your house as we celebrate the birth of our Savior! It is hard to believe that 2004 is almost a memory. It has been a challenging and faith building year for our family as we have trusted God to supply our needs.
In August of 2003, we bought our very first house after years of renting! It is an older home, with hardwood floors, arched doorways, crystal doorknobs, and even a basement (although it does leak when it rains--hope to get it fixed soon!). The same week I sent in our first mortgage payment(Oct.8th), Paul lost his job at Edward Jones a, a major financial firm for this area. He had the job for about three years, and was told on a Wednesday that he was being given the opportunity to seek employment elsewhere. What a shock! We were not prepared for this, but God knew it was coming...nothing is a surprise to Him. His timing is always perfect too, even though it's hard for us to see. If this were to have happened in the summer, we would not have been able to get this house.
Right now he is working for his parents at...you guessed it..the airport!! His parents still have their facility here near downtown STL( they sold the one in Crestview about three years ago), and he is working nights there. Steph does not like him working nights, but it beats unemployment. He worked nights at EJ too, and he's grown accustomed to it, but Steph is not so
sure she ever will!. God has provided wonderfully for us this past year and we know He will continue to do so. Please pray that he finds something soon! He would really like to get back into the IT world again.
Stephanie is working for the 4th year at Berean Christian School ( a ministry of our church Edgemont Bible ,and also her alma mater), as a Monitor(teacher's assistant). She works in the 8th through 12th grade levels, and yes Taylor is one of her students!! He's so blessed!! She is also working for the fifth year in Awana as a Guards(T&T) leader, and also helps in Children's Church once a month.
Taylor is a freshman this year at BCS, and is trying to get the hang of Algebra. He also likes to play his electric guitar, and is a first year LIT in Cubbies. He is also active in Youth Group and helping in Children's Church.
Deanna is 11 and in the 5th grade. She is doing well in her PACE's and loves to read--especially American Girl and the Left Behind series for kids books. She is
also on a Christian basketball team called Upward Basketball. She is in her first year as a Guard(T&T) in Awana ans helps out in Children's Church.

Michaela is 9 and in the 4th grade. She is also doing well in her PACE"s and is playing Upward Basketball, and helping in Children's Church. Although she is not fond of reading, she does like the computer!! If I am not careful, she would bid on everything Hello Kitty that ebay has to offer! She also loves to talk on the phone!

We have wanted to come and visit ever since we have been back, but for some reason or another we have not been able too. We have continually thought about and prayed for you and want to see you soon. If you are ever in the STL area or just a passin' thru, give us a
call--we'd love to see you if only for a meal and short visit. Since we have been back here, we have hosted Leslie and Evelyn, the Delgado's, the Stewart's , Carlos Pineiro, and cooked a spaghetti dinner for the Baker's one night!!
Please keep us posted on what's happening with your families! We know we have not kept up with things on this end, but it would be great to hear from you!! Our new address and phone number are listed below. God Bless you now and in the New Year!
in Christ,
Paul and Stephanie LaBrier
